Drew Vactor is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (Instructor) and a SSI Instructor Trainer (Instructor of Instructors). He has logged over 2,200 dives around the world and is our expert on Live Aboard Dive Boats. He has been a Dive Professional since 1997.
I did my first dive when I was 9 years old in the High School pool and fell in love with being underwater. Although it was a life dream, it took me until 1979 to do my first ocean dive. Since I became a Dive Professional in 1996, I have averaged over 100 dives per year. I have logged over 1,800
dives and am the resident Seahorse
at Planet Scuba.
I really enjoyed my entry into the professional end of diving as a DiveMaster and then Assistant Instructor, before moving up the ladder. I wanted to share my love for our underwater realm with others and became an Instructor. It was so much fun that I continued my diving education and am now an SSI Instructor Trainer
while also maintaining a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
rating. I teach all levels from Open Water students to Instructors but most enjoy working with those just learning about our sport. I also lead exotic live aboard dive boat trips each year with my beautiful Mermaid Instructor wife, Kandie.
For 26 years I owned and operated the Southwest's most highly decorated restaurant, The Tack Room
in Tucson. When I retired in 2000 I became a computer and digital photography instructor/lecturer on cruise ships where I worked for 6 years doing almost 50 cruises, many in places where we could go diving. In my "spare" time, I still enjoy cruising, go snow skiing in winter, am on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Tucson, President of my Homeowners' Association and work with computers doing Web Site Design (see: 5stardesign.com

I look forward to seeing you underwater, soon.
